Banks stock has had a history of a sugar daddy feeding us all from time to time to bump the price up (self-fulfilling polling). Too late Brown is in. Looking at the voter return so far Sth Akl is well up on previous elections so Banks is truely rooted.

Stunningly mindless and pointless, surely, to come in and raise prices for 30 seconds or less.

Only 6 days to go. Brown has to be a steal at 0.85. 15% return for 6 days is A ok

I don't think the polls have it right. South Auckland turn out is high. I think Brown will win by 15 - 20 points. Be good if iPredict offered a points spread

It's Brown for Supermayor, by a landslide

56% to Brown, 33% Banks amongst those already voted. Proper poll 893 sample, +/- 3.3% margin of error.

23% spread.....reinforces the Horizon poll last week - its a HUGE win for Brown!.

Anyone that thinks Banks has the remotest chance is deluding themselves ... but I hope they keep buying (god bless them!)

Only one horse in it!....

Still a good return for new entrants with a 12% return in 6 days (over 700% p.a)

Come on you Banks supporters put ya $$ where ya mouth is or are you afaird it would bankrupt you?

I split my funds between buying Banks & shorting Brown, the remainder I split over Williams & "Other" since there wasn't enough left for further transactions on B&B.

That being said I'm a Craig supporter so my money isn't exactly where my mouth is. (Which doesn't stop me hoping he wins & nets me a couple of grand as a bonus).

Buying Banks up to 0.20 has to be good buying.

He is now playing Northshore and CBD off against South Auckland (is this the race card? Worked for Winston). At last he has TV adverts (very unprofessional and last minute looking) but may help.

Banks has shown that he cannot run a campaign but his last minute desperate attempts at marketing and attacks on Brown may just pay off or will backfire.

Welcome back the real John Banks you should have never changed - now worth a punt

Final exit poll indicates Brown will be super city Mayor

Mr Brown has 53.7% support among those who have cast votes. John Banks has 23.8%,

...Looks pretty overwhelming!

So... umm... if the Electoral Fraud affair results in re-running the Mayoral election, & said rerun isn't complete by Jan 1, would Mayor.Other close @ $1? or would the contracts be extended?

'cos there is an Election, but it's results may be invalidated, so I'm not sure if the "if there is no election for Mayor of Auckland in 2010 then this contract will close at $1" condition will be considered to have been met...

....worth buying up lots of Mayor.Other contracts for a few cents on the off chance perhaps?

Contracts closed now. Well done all on these, the Auckland contracts were particularly interesting and liquid.
