Hi there, Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere and I've missed it.. but if the red peak flag becomes an option and say it wins will options 1-4 in the first referendum close at $0? As notice the bundle available doesn't have an "other" optionby Dion25 - Active Stocks
Weekend changes in petrol price are very rare from what I've observed - I can't recall the last time a change happened on a Saturday or Sunday. Not sure about weekends being calculated or not, did once try to analyse a week but a 2nd price change in the one week made it a challenge, but I recall thinking they didn't count so have picked up some cheap mid stocks on the basis I have little to loby Dion25 - Active Stocks
Would have thought the MM for June contracts would have been 10 by now, especially since its quite a popular stock and isn't closing any time soon and has been going just on a week - or is a MM of 1 an experiment of some sort?by Dion25 - Active Stocks
Thanks From memory I woke up earlier then I was meant to for once and randomly wondered if they'd decided what they were doing with that sign or not!!by Dion25 - New Stock Ideas
Link below suggests there is a sign going up of some sort... could make a few contracts on what its going to say... other then a 3% chance it will say wellywood could bundle it with 3 more popular ideas and 'other' .. 300 average daily volume on the wellywood suggests itd be popular!!by Dion25 - New Stock Ideas
cowpoos Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > its the 'week ending' 27th may ain't it? Yes - may stand corrected but data is collected 7 days a week so I suspect what counts involves May 21-27by Dion25 - Active Stocks
It will be very hard to pick this week even using old results, as the change happened Sunday it's all going to come down to what time MED records the figures, if its 12 Noon, we'll likely see Mid scraping through per Mr Mags calculation, if its 9pm, its likely to dip just under $2.10 mark, anytime in between who knows!by Dion25 - Active Stocks
"Other responses: Andrew93 suggested a grace period before introducing fee changes: yes, agreed." I personally prefer contender B as it could be implemented around 1 July if you announced it at the end of this month and is far more transparent and an easy to understand. Bigger traders however will probably reduce their account size because of it. If you go with option A, on toby Dion25 - Closed Stocks
These rises are like 2008 all over again, low risk news about things that 'could' effect supply if they happen leading to massive increases. Wonder if its going to fizzle shortly or keep rising until oil importing countries crash again.by Dion25 - Active Stocks

I think most people who were commenting before October on this particular topic will have made bundles, as everyone agreed Kerry at 95c seemed a bit rediculous when I was asking if anyone knew why... was forced to go with the theory they were basing it on her past landslide victories which were never against Wade Brown!! Its unlikely, but Im wondering what happens in the election and on this cby Dion25 - Closed Stocks
It wasn't online at least =) I think Wellington will be tighter then this however, everyone knows who Prendergast is so can't see her support 'growing' as such.by Dion25 - Closed Stocks

Know what you're saying Oracle. GST will add about 4c but even from there you're asking another 22c to reach $2 from what its at today. A major event would spark that potentially, but is there a 9% chance of that happening, I think not..by Dion25 - Closed Stocks
Interesting - shame there's not any actual reliable polls out there! Does however mean the potential to make a lot of money if Wade Brown is as popular as these polls say, Id love to short a bit more at 94.5c if anyones interested!!by Dion25 - Closed Stocks
Has there been any updated polls on this does anyone know? At 94.6c Im guessing there must be and Kerry must have overwhelming support, very risky to be long on if theres nothing...by Dion25 - Closed Stocks
Seems like the ipredict markets on side with BNZ at the moment!by Dion25 - Active Stocks
I notice most contract's on ipredict are over-reacted to when they start on a down or up trend so I think thats why it fell so low so fast as there has been a bit of bad news out there, so it's no surprise it did fall, although I expect it to continue recovering to about 75c from the low 67.5, in which the next announcement as Dibbo mentioned will either skyrocket it to around $1 or it will plummby Dion25 - Closed Stocks
I think 1 rate hike in the last 3 will put rates above 6.50% however, although Dibbo, you do have a better trading CV then I do! Banks didn't react instantly to the 25 point increase in July, but have now reacted to it, so im expecting August floating rates to be around 6.40-6.45%, and hopefully everyone panics at that point and I can clear some money! If i'm right, one could assume theresby Dion25 - Closed Stocks
These are under priced at the moment in my opinion with today's rise, at least the 6.5 is.by Dion25 - Closed Stocks

Im picking 4 or 5 cents on Friday if it stays around $112 NZD/bl til then as there does seem to be support at the new level.by Dion25 - Active Stocks
Linked heavily to the rather unpopular NZD to buy 1 USD contract, however that's an unrealistic event and even at 5c whoevers buying that is crazy, 80c is far more possible and at least has happened before, and may actually happen again meaning it should be more popular.by Dion25 - New Stock Ideas
pipe42 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Having other stocks might just change her price > ... Co-incidence maybe, but that's exactly what happened in the Chch contracts.by Dion25 - New Stock Ideas
NZD is also up to cancel out most of the crude price increase, but their hasn't really ever been any major pressure in my mind to prompt a drop at the pumps since the last drop happened. While some people would have always agreed with me, I guess the majority has decided the same thing by now, so Low's lost all its puff.by Dion25 - Active Stocks
If deposits weren't counted, the ROI would be pointless as it'd have nothing to do with performance. If re-deposits weren't counted after a withdrawal was taken however, that'd be fair, as it wouldn't really be against the definition of 'Return on Investment'. IRR does have merit, but could mean a newbie may however fluke their way to first place on their second day if they succeeded on a longby Dion25 - Ask A Question
Still backing Mid here... On the basis that the last drop was a very modest 3c, and that was when oil was $103 NZD a barrel. (Imagine it would have dropped more (say 5c) if it was that overpriced at 178.9 at the time) It's upto $107 NZD/bl at the moment.by Dion25 - Active Stocks
Noticed that too, but appears it sorted itself now!by Dion25 - Ask A Question
Mr_Onebill Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Crude at $US75.50 & NZ$ slipping - can't be far > off a small rise in pump price? NZ$ seems to be swinging up and down at the moment, so Im not sure if a short term dip will impact things much, but watch this space if oil reaches and holds closer to $80/bl. Not likely we'll see action before June closesby Dion25 - Active Stocks
