Retirement/defection stocks

Can we get an early declaration on when some of the stocks will close?

If a candidate is entered on nomination day, they are considered to be the candidate on nomination day. If they were to die, and yet win the seat on election day, a by-election would be held. Likewise if they were to "stand down" or "retire". Effectively they cannot retire after nomination day and before the election.

Therefore I would argue that the stock on possible retirements could close once we know who was nominated. If McCully, King or anyone else "retires" after that then it will make no difference.

As per the judgement statement, "If there is no announcement by a suitable authority the contract will close when the Electoral Commission publishes a list of all candidates for the General Election".
