Incorrect Average

Hi, today I shorted GST.UP.JAN11: sold 10@ 0.8876, 1@ 0.8941, 10@ 0.9002, 10@ 9061 ( I only have the -31 shares in GST.UP.JAN11)

According to my calculation the average cost should read 0.8978, yet on my portfolio page the average cost is listed as 0.8476.

Any explanation? I am sure I have worked out the Avg, correctly.

It is no biggy, just a little annoying.

Hi,

That figure is mean to the the average cost to you over the time you have done any trading on that particular contract.

If you had done any previous trading, that will be accounted for also.

Perhaps you could check your 'history' page(s) and make sure you have included all trading on that particular contract. ?
