Probably difficult to judge unless someone without links to North Korea is actually arrested.

I could not think of any objective test universally accepted by specialists in the field that could possibly determine this. An arrest of a possible suspect is a different matter that involves political considerations among others. Even if that were to happen (which is very unlikely given that North Korea would not extradite anyone to the US), I would not necessarily see that as proof that North Korea did it. How do you propose to determine this?

This will likely never be proven. Having said that, there could be contracts on whether it is proven by the end of the year or whatever.

Since the US government has made an official statement that names North Korea as the perpetrators, a follow up statement by the US government that says something different would be pretty definitive.

But the chances of that happening seem extremely slim, because it would be embarrassing to them to admit the mistake, and it appears they have taken down the North Korean internet on two occasions as retaliation, which immediately makes those events more like crimes in their own right (although I suspect a large part of the motivation was just to show NK that the US does have a lot more power over them than they might think).
