Voting feature can be useful:
1. to express interest in new stocks propositions
2. for evaluation of judgement criterias
and for other things

That's an interesting idea.

Kiwiblog has a "karma" facility where every comment can be given a thumbs-up or -down.

Not sure that you would want to put this functionality in for every comment in these forums in case it deterred people from posting.

Sometimes I find myself reaching automatically for the thumbs-up icon when I have read a particularly well thought out post (bkd or Oracle come to mind).
