Feature Request Prioritisation

Hey - looks like Alan solved how to make a sticky.

Hi,

I suggest that IPredict maintain a list of feature requests - it could be a 'sticky' at the top of this forum perhaps, with a link to the specific thread that raised it.

Couple of benefits:

1) Stops people asking for things that have already been asked for (they can add their voice to the existing thread too).

2) When IPredict has some dev time, you could pick, say, two, or three, or five that you prefer, and then offer up a vote to see which one people want most (or you could just go with whatever you choose of course).

Or use uservoice.com (or getsatisfaction.com if you prefer) who already have a great system, avoid re-inventing the wheel, and save the development resource to focus on actual iPredict features.

Here's mine for the Android app, for example: [ipredictandroid.uservoice.com]

Personally, I would prefer the list is kept and maintained in a sticky on the forum. There is no dev time required, just admin to edit the list when new features are suggested.

For voting, any one of a million options on the net for that I agree no need to build one. Something 'clean' looking would be ideal.

Alan,

Forum sticky: No dev time. Admin time to maintain list.
Uservoice: No dev time. No admin time to maintain list.

Not so as to be significant, and it means that users have to go offsite to see what's happening - that's always a big negative for many people (not all, but many).

Not all, but most in my opinion and definately so for me. Like to keep it 'in house', so to speak.

Bizarre, just bizarre. Like the paranoia about OAuth.

What paranoia about OAuth?

I must have missed something?

Bleh, I am struggling to see how to make a forum sticky on this software...

Happy to help if I can work it out.

Go vote for features if you haven't already!

I must be missing something here.

If I go to the forum that this thread is part of:

Forum - Feature Requests

there appear to be not one, but two 'stickies' there.

Is it just terminology? They seem to be called 'announcements' there - could you use one of those instead?

Edit: See here:

How to create a sticky
