How diversified are you?

I'm wondering how many stocks people tend to have a position on at any one time?

I typically have 50+, with small holdings on most.

What do others have?

Usually between 10 and 20 stocks. At the moment I have nine ranging from five contracts to 70.

70+ atm but that is due to the forthcoming election. After those stocks are closed my holdings will be significantly less.

god, I thought I had a lot, but I'm only on 33. though I do roll a bit deeper - up around 200 in some stocks

I have a ton of different stocks but my portfolio is still not as diversified as I like

the distribution across the different stocks are very uneven

basically the same as you "I typically have 50+, with small holdings on most."

Over 300 positions (long or short), most of them small, a few over 100.

My count's 80 currently.

I only trade on political stocks, I expect my position count will be in the hundreds when the 2014 election stocks are in full cry.

I only have 2 stocks. The question I would like to ask is "is it important to be diversified?" I ask this because I was wondering if diversification also eliminates systematic risk as it does with pure stocks. ie diversifying across industry sectors reduces your risk but does that also apply on a site such as this?
