any particular reason why there isn't an 'Other'?

Shame this is not a bundle, the sum of the 2 stocks seems to be consistently around $1.06

Why is Sue Bradford so low? Everyone writing her off already?
Re: Greens Party Co-Leader
February 24, 2009 05:22PM
shes too old and grumpy, no one wants to see more of her.
Re: Greens Party Co-Leader

yeah, except it's the green party members that decide the new leader, not us!

I dont give a monkeys who co leads this party, The lack of a "other to co-lead" and lack of a bundle options means the market does not appear to operate effeciently as partisan bidding drives the sum price higher than 1.00 - currently the sum of the 2 options is 1.04, and it seems to consistently trend this way.

Turei bidders stand make more if they sold down the Bradford options at .15 rather than buying at.89! and vice versa, ......But then when did Green supporters understand maths or profit?

Is it only the Green party members that vote on their leader? They also vote on their list MP's and Bradford is higher than Turei on the list. Would this not mean that more greens would vote Bradford?

GREENS.OTHER added, and a bundle is now available

Now the OTHER stock has been added, any ideas as to who this other might be? Catherine Delahunty? Sue Kedgley? I think they need a high-profile face like Robyn Malcolm but suspect she might be too busy.

I thought it was a done deal that it would be either Turei or Bradford, so the "Other" stock really is a dead duck.

Why do I think it will be/should be Turei?

1) She is Maori - that would be very Green PC wouldn't it?

2) Fitzsimons was was the friendly, benign, attractive face of the Greens that got on and got things done. They wouldn't want the extremist, activist, "ugly" face of Bradford.

If they vote Bradford in as co-leader, it's all over for the Greens, she would scare away a lot of otherwise healthy support for the party from those who don't like extremists.

Just my thoughts

Maybe the greens will be nice to Bradford, because she took the heat over the anti smacking bill. A reward.

I'm not sure politics works that way - even for the greens.

I heard a rumour two weeks ago from an insider there was a dark horse candidate for the position that would emerge that week. Far as I know it never happened.

The thing that was to happen that week was the opening of nominations.
We won't find out whether a third candidate is standing until nominations close. smiling smiley
