FTA.STHKOREA.NZ Re today's announcement. This is not a signing. The contract definition refers to the signing ceremony for the China deal being the trigger. I quote:
"By way of example, the event in the development of the FTA between New Zealand and China which would have caused an equivalent contract to close at $1 was the signing ceremony in April 2008 reported at [www.chinadaily.com.cn] and not the subsequent ratication processes which, in the case of New Zealand, are described at [www.chinafta.govt.nz];
Today's statement from Key:
Now that the negotiations have been concluded, the FTA will next go through a legal verification and translation process, before it can be signed.
