Fees are set at 2% with a $2 minimum, subject to the following rules:
Only users with positive net earnings pay a fee on withdrawal, where net earnings is defined by net worth less total net cash deposits to your iPredict account since it was created
For users with positive net earnings that are less than $2, the fee is capped at that amount, meaning fees cannot turn your earnings negative

This needs to be updated to 4%]]>

You can read more about the bug here: [heartbleed.com]

Quote

The Heartbleed Bug is a serious vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL cryptographic software library. This weakness allows stealing the information protected, under normal conditions, by the SSL/TLS encryption used to secure the Internet.

iPredict is a vulnerable site, as identified here: [filippo.io].

You can read more technical information about what this means here: [www.mattslifebytes.com]

In particular:

Quote

...the currently-available proof-of-concept scripts allow any client, anywhere in the world, to perform a session hijacking attack of a logged in user.

iPredict needs to upgrade their OpenSSL library to a safe version (refer [www.openssl.org]) then revoke and replace the existing SSL certificate.

iPredict users: if you are using your iPredict password elsewhere, change those passwords on other sites immediately. iPredict should force a password reset once the issue is fixed, but if they don't, you should change it yourself.]]>

Aside from being broken, can I suggest from a security perspective that you have error reporting turned off and provide sensible error pages. Useful to have the database username - makes password enumeration exploits a bit easier, and the traceback probably gives me the Phorum version too.]]>

/forum/read.php?13,19272,19272#msg-19272 Page Load Time (no replies) /forum/read.php?13,19272,19272#msg-19272
You are dealing with a market where real cash is being used in trades, you need to deliver a high standard of performance to your customers. This means that traders need to have reliable and consistent access to the market to make timely trades when new information comes to light. Currently this is substandard.

I have run a page load time test on pingdom.com (Dallas, Texas, USA based server) and it has returned a result of 6.94s, uptrends.com (from an Auckland based server) returned 4.00s. So most of your customers will be between these two extremes.

For a website such as this, it should take no longer than 2.00s to load a page. Further, you need to work closely with your hosting provider to accomodate for those peak usage periods (more CPU time, bandwidth etc).]]>

During some maintenance work being done this morning all traders were forced to log in again (at around 6:30am)

It was originally hoped to make the move without any disruption at all, but the forced signout was needed after all.

One of the database servers has been rebuilt and the move this morning involved switching some functionality to it. The site was not down, but the traders active at that time will have had to have logged in again.

The "remember me" will have been invalidated also, so those that use 'remember me' will have to re-check that box when logging in.

Sorry for the disruption.]]>

Also there was a third stock further down the list which had also incorrectly been given the same Last Price.

I have screen shots to prove it which will make it easier to understand - where should I send the screen shots?

Aside from that, the site has been generally slow and frustrating to use.

Firstly, if you do have an outage, please at the very least have proper error pages with contact information. It's not hard to do - just configure apache to serve static pages instead of throwing the default.

Secondly, communicate that you're aware of problems and what you're doing about it. Your twitter account didn't respond to messages, your contact form didn't work, you don't have an email address posted anywhere I could find. You are a trading site with real money on the line.
