Long Description
This contract pays $1 if Boris Johnson becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland before 1 January 2020; otherwise it pays $0.
Judging Criteria
The contract refers to Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London on the date of the launch of the contract.
The method of him becoming Prime Minister would be any that was generally accepted in the UK and internationally at the time he does so. At the time of the launch of the contract, the process of becoming Prime Minister involved Buckingham Palace announcing in a Court Circular that the new Prime Minister had kissed hands with the Monarch.
If the United Kingdom is dissolved, splits, becomes a republic or otherwise changes constitutionally, the contract will follow the head of government role in England or a successor state that its capital in London.
