David Cameron to depart as Conservative Party leader before next General Election

Long Description

This contract pays $1 if David Cameron permanently departs as Conservative Party leader any time before the next UK General Election. Otherwise this contract pays $0.

Judging Criteria 

Departure must be announced or widely understood to be permanent. This contract will not close, for example, due to sick leave, or due to an Acting Leader being appointed while Mr Cameron is overseas or on holiday.

Subject to other conditions, this contract will immediately close at $1 on announcement of Mr Cameron's resignation, ousting, or permanent departure for any reason. This contract will pay out based when Mr Cameron's departure as Conservative Party leader takes effect.

For the purposes of this contract, departure must take effect prior to the start of the day of the next UK General Election, GMT.

Joint leadership of the Conservative party, where Mr Cameron is one joint leader, has no effect on this contract and will not cause this contract to close at $1.

This contract is not affected by the timing of the next UK General Election. For the purposes of this contract, "next" means the first UK General Election that occurs after the launch of this contract.

This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
