Long Description
This contract pays $1 if a second Trans-Pacific fibre-optic cable is laid by 1 Jan 2018. Otherwise it pays $0.
Judging Criteria
The purpose of this contract is to judge the probability that a second fibre-optic cable is built linking New Zealand and the United States.
For the purposes of this contract, the cable can link other Pacific countries, as long as it connects New Zealand and the United States.
The cable must be completely laid before 1 Jan 2018 for this contract to pay $1. It is not sufficient for there to be an announcement of a cable being laid, or for a cable to be in the process of being laid.
iPredict's judgement is final.
This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
