Commercial space flight offered under $10000 by end 2017

Long Description

This contract will close at $1 if any individual or organisation offers commercial flights into space for under $10000USD before the 1st of January 2018 at 12:00am, otherwise this contract will close at $0.

Judging Criteria 

The purpose of this contract is to determine the likelihood that any commercial space flights are offered to the general public for under $10000USD, by the end of 2017.

The flights can be offered by a private company, government or other group, as long as the purpose of the flights is for tourism or business, and not a scientific or research operation.
The flight must be primarily publicly funded and not research-funded.

Tickets must be available to the general public for a price equal to or lower than $10000 US Dollars per person per flight. General public means that it is open to anybody who can provide the money, and not only open to a specific group of people.

The flight must be orbital or sub-orbital in nature, meaning the vessel must leave the Earth's atmosphere of 100km above sea level for at least a portion of the flight.

iPredict reserves the right to keep this contract open as long as it deems appropriate. iPredict's judgment is final.

This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
