Long Description
This contract pays $1 if Statistics NZ reports a Current Account surplus of any amount for the year ended December 2015. Otherwise this contract pays $0.
Judging Criteria
A Current Account Surplus of any amount in this quarter will cause this contract to close at $1.
This contract will close following the announcement by Statistics New Zealand of the December 2015 quarter Current Account Deficit (or Surplus).
If the Current Account Deficit (or Surplus) is not expressed as a percentage of GDP by Statistics New Zealand, iPredict will calculate this value by dividing the trend Current Account Deficit (Surplus) (series BOPQ.S5AC3 at the time of this contract's launch) by expenditure on GDP at actual current prices (series SNCQ.S1NB15 at the time of this contract's launch), each for the corresponding most-recent four quarters, and multiplying by 100.
This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
