Long Description

This contract will close at $1 if Len Brown or a suitable authority announces that Len Brown will depart as Mayor of the Auckland City Council before the next Local Body Election. Otherwise it closes at $0

Judging Criteria 

This contract measures the timing of an announcement, not the timing of when Mr Brown departs.

If no such announcement has been made when nominations for candidates to be the next mayor of Auckland close, then this contract will close at $0.

An announcement that Mr Brown will not stand at the next local body elections will not be sufficient for this contract to close at $1.

"Next Local Body Elections" refers to the first New Zealand Local Body Elections to occur after the launch of this contract, scheduled for 2016.

This contract will close at $1 on an announcement not withstanding that any dismissal may be appealed in court.

iPredict's decision is final

This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
